The Cromwell Recreation Department is responsible for leisure time activities for the residents of Cromwell, infants through adults.

There are two types of activities offered: "drop in" and "scheduled" classes. A drop in activity is one that no advanced registration is needed and participants just show up for the program at its given time whenever they are available. A scheduled class or program needs advance registration in written form with a signed permission slip - either a parent or guardian if the participant is under 18 years of age, or that individual if above 18 years old.

The department runs programs throughout the year using the Town Hall, the town parks and the school buildings. Traditionally classes start in September, January, April and July. Some classes have modest fees and others are offered free of charge. All of the classes are for residents only. Call the office at 632-3467 for more information.

Registration Information
Pre-registration is required for all programs and must be received by the Cromwell Recreation Department office at least one week prior to start of an activity. Fees must be paid at the time of registration. Unless stated, make checks payable to Cromwell Recreation Department. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Cancellation Information
Classes may be canceled due to weather. If this occurs, please call the office at 632-3467 for updates. Classes may also be canceled due to insufficient enrollment, when this occurs, the office will contact you prior to start of program.

The new session of activities sponsored by the Cromwell Recreation Department for area residents is starting in mid-January. Programs that are listed as "drop-in" require no advanced registration. For all others, residents should register as soon as possible since space is limited for many of them and they fill up quickly.

For information on any of these programs, residents can either come to the office located in the basement of Town Hall or call the office at 632-3467. Back to top
