The Senior Center recently accepted delivery on a new mini-bus for our transportation fleet thanks to the State of Connecticut’s DOT 5310 Grant Program.

55 Alive Defensive Driving Course offered at Cromwell Senior Center

Usually two times per year (Spring & Fall) the senior center sponsors a 55 Alive Defensive Driving Course with the help of AARP.

Pictured is our instructor and statewide regional coordinator of the program, Brent LeVeille, hosting our Fall, 2006 session which was held on September 23rd and September 30th. Completion from the course allows seniors to receive a certification that will help them to receive a discount on their automobile insurance premiums.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We recently held a Cooking for One Class co-sponsored by the Village of South Farms, who was kind enough to import a fantastic chef from Boston for us

 

Here is our Quilting Group, complete with Madeline Lowry sizing things up. Our quilting group meets on Monday afternoons in the senior center, year-round.

This is a group picture of all bowlers that were present at the annual bowling banquet, which was held on June 13, 2006 at Chowder Pot Restaurant in Hartford.
League formation for 2006-2007 season will be held in August.
