FOOD BANK

FOOD BANK HOURS - TUES THRU FRIDAY 10AM-2PM

Residents facing financial difficulty may receive an assortment of non-perishable food items.  The food bank operates a pre-bagged distribution food program.  If you are in need of food, please see the Senior Center & Human Services Director, Theresa Strong or Department Secretary Betty Amato for a food bank application.  You will need to show proof of residency (i.e. driver’s license or utility bill).  All food orders are filled on a 24-48 hour turn-around basis, with emergency exceptions available, when needed.

The Town of Cromwell’s Human Services Division has begun a new collaborative effort with Bingo Bakery USA on Shunpike Road that will allow us to provide our clients with fresh bakery items on a regular basis.  We hold bakery distribution days for these fresh baked goods on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11AM-2PM only.  No pre-registration is required.  These items are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Please note that participation in this distribution is not in substitution for your normal monthly food bank order and therefore, you may still call during the month for food, if needed.

Please remember that if you have on-going food needs due to limited income, we urge you to also apply for Food Stamps with the Department of Social Services located on Main Street Ext, Middletown  - (860) 704-3100.
